In 2020, the COVID pandemic put a halt to Full Sail’s annual tradition of bringing students and our community together. And after years of physical separation, Hall of Fame XII presented an opportunity to express gratitude not only for our time together, but for the future.
Our tagline, It’s Your Time encouraged students and alumni to celebrate one another, to move forward, and to reclaim our time and our future.

Leading up to Hall of Fame, we produced videos to explain what the event is, how it works, and the culture of excitement around it. Here’s an example.

At the end of Hall of Fame Week, the excitement has raised to a fever pitch and to one, big thing: the induction ceremony. This on-campus and live-streamed event is highly produced, glitzy, and a little rock and roll.
Here’s another example from Hall of Fame 11 that exemplifies Full Sail’s love of putting on a good show.
One interesting aspect of the voice of Hall of Fame is to balance a cheerful, energizing, and familiar tone with the gravitas of being inducted into something exclusive and honorable.
Below is an example of a very official-looking mail piece sent to the six inductees including all of their Hall of Fame information. At the same time, we had to warn them – in a cheeky, friendly tone – to wait until a collective Zoom meeting to open it.

Signage
On Full Sail’s backlot, the Creative Experience gave students a chance to let loose. It involved a paint-by-numbers mural, temporary tattoos, crafting tables, karaoke, live music, and other fun stuff.
The signage we created for this area embraced our students’ signature quirkiness while giving them a call-to-action to share their photos on social media.
Signs were placed in front of photo backdrops like a Delorean, the Bill and Ted phone booth, and a Mario backdrop representing our collegiate esports team, Armada.
